Anastassia Mebald, who previously headed Luminor Bank’s Baltic regulatory reporting, has taken office as the new CEO of Millerhawk.

Anastassia Mebald, who previously headed Luminor Bank’s Baltic regulatory reporting, has taken office as the new CEO of investment management company Millerhawk OÜ.

“With the addition of Anastassia Mebald, we significantly strengthened Millerhawk’s regulatory side and financing expertise, as she brings experience from both Luminor and other international audit firms such as KPMG and EY. In addition to strengthening the team, we have recently been primarily focused on setting goals and strategic planning. Today, we feel that we have laid a solid foundation for the company and the difficult economic conditions favor starting to operate more intensively,” said Marko Kull, founder and owner of Millerhawk.

According to Anastassia Mebald, leaving the highly regulated sector was a major turning point in her career. “Everything in banking follows certain rules and life in this sector can be predicted quite a long time in advance. On the other hand, the real estate sector provides more opportunities for action, as today’s economic environment brings with it not only uncertainty and risks, but also investment opportunities,” said Anastassia Mebald.

“The real estate sector is very closely related to banks – with someone who knows banks, we definitely have certain advantages over others. Today, the market feels that companies are more cautious about investments and do not dare to launch projects alone, in which case they ask us for help,” added Mebald.

According to Marko Kull, Millerhawk invested 12 million euros in residential real estate this year and 7 million in commercial real estate, and similar volumes are planned for next year. Millerhawk is a real estate investment company founded by Marko Kull in 2020.

Millerhawk OÜ is a leading real estate development and management company, under which commercial real estate is developed and managed. Millerhawk also owns residential real estate developer Avalon, which has several developments in the city of Tallinn and Harju County in Rae, Saue and Harku parishes, as well as in Viljandi and Maardu.
